Gothic Hide-Away

My final environment for my Computer Animation Modeling class.
I wanted to create a scene that implied that a vampire is hiding out in an abandoned library/study. I started this by creating the large props first and then moving into more detailed props. One mistake I made when creating this piece is that all of the books are separate props and due to the differences in size, I had to redo the UVs on every book. In the future I think I will fully texture a variety of books and then duplicate them and put them in my scene. Unfortunately, I did not have the foresight to do so, as I did not know how to texture objects when I first started this project.
Overall, this scene ended up being fairly difficult to complete just due to my own unfamiliarity with modeling. In the future I'd like to add more props and clean up some of the UVs and textures. I think this is a fairly good first start to modeling and I look forward to improving in the future!
