Been working on the design for my new Dungeons and Dragons character! I went into this whole character creation process not really knowing what I wanted from this character. I decided that I wanted to create an outgoing and charismatic rogue that grew up in a circus traveling around the swampy region "Vulporax". For his design some aspects I really wanted to include was; a fox-inspired physical appearance, earthy/swampy clothing made of pinecones and moss, small "luxurious" details to tie to his circus persona, and to avoid calling too much attention to him being a rogue. I wanted him to really hide in plain sight.
Most of my initial sketches leaned very heavily into different aspects of his persona and different player classes.
Ultimately, I decided to create a friendly "average" bard as his base look with and additional performance outfit to lean into his circus roots. While his class is a rogue, I wanted to roleplay more as a charismatic bard.
This was a super fun character exercise and creating a story that really reflects in a character design is always exciting.
